Personal Enrichment

three womenUniversity Outreach College of Continuing Education offers personal enrichment programs designed for learners of all ages eager to expand their experiences, enhance personal growth or to just try new things.

Among the offerings are precollegiate programs for youth and high school students, seminars for senior adults and flight training for those interested in aviation.

Academic Programs CAFE'

A menu of courses offered at various times and in many formats during the year. Through CAFE' you can enroll in courses in non-traditional formats, in a special or personal interest course, complete a general education requirement or course elective or participate in travel/study programs.

Arts and Sciences Programs Extends resources of the University of Oklahoma College of Arts and Sciences and College of Liberal Studies through special courses, conferences, noncredit and credit seminars and travel study programs including the popular Summer in Santa Fe. Back to Top
Aviation Offers a bachelor of science degree with four concentrations to choose from: Professional Pilot, Aviation Management, Non-Flying Aviation Management and Air Traffic Control; including certificate and noncredit flight training. Back to Top
Early Childhood Professional Development, Center for Provides professional and career development programs for early childhood professionals. Back to Top
Education Programs Credit courses and conferences for undergraduate and graduate students, teachers, administrators and school support personnel. Back to Top
Engineering/Geosciences Programs Provides engineers with conferences, seminars, workshops and courses. These include the annually held Corrosion Control Course, Blowout Prevention School, Laurance Reid Gas Conditioning Conference, Gas Compressor Short Course and the International School of Hydrocarbon Measurement. Health Promotion Programs Conducts the largest Native wellness and health promotion conferences in North America. Back to Top
International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame Highlights and honors past and present leaders in adult and continuing education and serves as a record and inspiration for the next generation of continuing education leaders. Invest Ed - Investment Education Programs Invest Ed provides multi-faceted investment literacy education through a partnership of the Oklahoma Securities Commission and University of Oklahoma Outreach, College of Continuing Education. Back to Top
Medieval Fair The state's largest weekend event relives the Middle Ages with over 200 arts and crafts booths, food, games, jousting tournaments, human chess games, costume contests and musical performances. Held the first weekend in April at Reaves Park in Norman, Oklahoma. Back to Top
National Resource Center for Youth Services Tulsa-based organization works to enhance the quality of life for the nation's high-risk youth and their families by improving the effectiveness of human services. Specializes in teaching independent living for foster teens, developing cultural competence, working with Native American youth, adolescent sexual abuse and substance abuse. Back to Top
Off Campus Programs Graduate and undergraduate credit and noncredit courses offered throughout the academic year at the Health Sciences Center and at Oklahoma City Community College. Back to Top
Precollegiate Programs Offers academic enrichment and leadership programs including: summer academies for mathematics, science and multidisciplinary studies; ACT and PSAT examination review sessions; Model United Nations of the Southwest; the Summer Media Workshop; Horizons Unlimited, a program for gifted and talented youth; annual Sooner Debate Workshop for junior and senior high school students and Mini College for students in grades one through six. Senior Adult Services --> Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Through university faculty, quality programs and educational opportunities for adult learners are offered in all areas of study in a way that fits into the lifestyle of senior adults. Back to Top
Sooner Flight Academy Facilitates the growth of aviation and technology for learners of all ages in science, math and technology through the exciting world of flight. Summer camps challenge students ages 4-18 to learn scientific and mathematic principles using aviation education. Back to Top
Travel/Study Program

Provides opportunities for students to study a variety of topics - from studying languages in native countries, to seeing first-hand the people and places talked about in courses. Travel allows students to gain new perspectives about the world, to immerse themselves in a particular subject of interest and to experience subjects in a way that cannot be attained in a traditional classroom environment.
