American Indian Institute Serves American Indian and First Nation communities throughout the U.S. and Canada with education, research, health care initiatives and economic development. Back to Top
Business and Economic Development, Center for Provides executive business and economic development training through programs such as the University of Oklahoma's Economic Development Institute (OU/EDI), the Economic Development Administration University Center and American Banking Association banking programs. Children of Promise - Mentors of Hope Program Through funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters throughout Oklahoma and working through faith-based associations, educational institutions, civic organizations, prison ministries and others, mentors are matched with the hidden and silent children and youth living with the devastation and trauma of having a parent who is incarcerated. Educational Training, Evaluation, Assessment and Measurement - ETEAM Comprised of two units, the Department of Research and Evaluation provides custom-designed research studies and program evaluations. The Department of Student Assessment and Testing provides testing services to approximately 80,000 students in public, private and home schools across the nation. Back to Top

Evaluation and Testing

Provides a wide range of testing services to more than 80,000 students in public, private, and home schools across the nation. As the largest comprehensive testing service in Oklahoma, Evaluation and Testing (E&T) assists educators in determining their assessment needs including test selection, scoring, data interpretation, and materials.

Health Promotion Programs Conducts the largest Native wellness and health promotion conferences in North America. Back to Top

KGOU Radio A full-service public radio station, KGOU Radio originates in the studios located on the campus of the University of Oklahoma and is delivered by two transmitters to nearly one million citizens in central Oklahoma. Back to Top
Medieval Fair The state's largest weekend event relives the Middle Ages with over 200 arts and crafts booths, food, games, jousting tournaments, human chess games, costume contests and musical performances. Held the first weekend in April at Reaves Park in Norman, Oklahoma. Back to Top
Mid-Continent Comprehensive Center (MC3) Provides frontline assistance to help States implement the No Child Left Behind act and other related Federal school improvement programs. Serves as the “on-the-ground” provider of technical assistance to four area States by helping them increase their capacity to assist districts and schools meet their student achievement goals using an extensive network of partners who work collaboratively with MC3 to serve the needs of each State education agency. National Conference Logistics Center Meets the growing needs of meeting and conference planning and facilitation services for national and state agencies, international professional associations and organizations in the private sector holding meetings throughout the world. Back to Top
National Resource Center (NRC) for Youth Services Tulsa-based organization works to enhance the quality of life for the nation's high-risk youth and their families by improving the effectiveness of human services. NRC specializes in teaching independent living for foster teens, developing cultural competence, working with Native American youth, adolescent sexual abuse and substance abuse. Back to Top
NRC's Juvenile Personnel Training Program In Oklahoma, NRC's Juvenile Personnel Training Program is the major provider of training to public and nonprofit agencies serving youth and families. NRC is also responsible for the management of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Child Welfare Academies for new workers as well as ongoing specialized and related training. NRC also manages training for foster and adoptive parents utilizing the PRIDE curriculum. Back to Top

Precollegiate Programs Offers academic enrichment and leadership programs including: summer academies for mathematics, science and multidisciplinary studies; ACT and PSAT examination review sessions; Model United Nations of the Southwest; the Summer Media Workshop; Horizons Unlimited, a program for gifted and talented youth; annual Sooner Debate Workshop for junior and senior high school students; and Mini College for students in grades one through six. Sooner Flight Academy Facilitates the growth of aviation and technology for learners of all ages in science, math and technology through the exciting world of flight. Summer camps challenge students ages 4-18 to learn scientific and mathematic principles using aviation education. Back to Top

Southwest Prevention Center Facilitates positive social change with a commitment to the prevention of alcohol, tobacco, drug abuse and related high-risk behaviors. Helps people organizations and systems develop skills and the capacity to foster safe and healthy communities across a multi-state region. Facilitates the annual National Prevention Convention.
