Richard W. Little, Ed.D.

University Outreach

Dr. Richard Little serves as associate vice president for University Outreach at the University of Oklahoma and is responsible for program activity in the areas of business, management, education, aviation, engineering, geosciences, arts and sciences and economic development. He also administers the university’s Advanced Programs military education endeavors, which provide eight different master’s degrees conferred at 50 international sites.

Dr. Little works extensively managing, developing and administering programs for the business, industrial and public sectors. Through his efforts, OU has national contracts with the American Bankers Association, Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Postal Service, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, International Economic Development Council and the Transportation Security Administration. He has earned a reputation for developing “topic specific” programs by request for professional client groups, companies and organizations. Dr. Little is also on the faculty of OU’s Price College of Business.

During his tenure at OU, Dr. Little has compiled an outstanding record and national reputation in the field of management, leadership and motivation as an innovator, consultant and administrator. He brings to the university a unique blend of practical knowledge and experience gained from working with some of the country’s most prestigious corporations.

Dr. Little has worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies, including Exxon, Ford Motor Company and Goodyear Aerospace and with several federal agencies and professional groups, including NASA, the Department of Energy, the American Medical Association and many military bases around the world. He has lectured at campuses all over the country, addressing such universities as Notre Dame, UCLA, the University of Colorado, Iowa State University and the United States military academies at Colorado Springs and West Point.
